The hiking area offers many great photo opportunities, especially when the heather is in bloom. However, the sandy paths are a lovely place to hike at any time of year, even barefoot if the weather allows, which I highly recommend.

When the heather is in bloom, this is a fantastic area with many beautiful photo opportunities. But you can hike at any time of year. The paths are mostly sandy and ideal for walking barefoot, although, surprisingly, no one I met was doing so.

There's a small tap on the side of the building. It's well-used as a water tap.

When you sit on a bench between the bright pink and fragrant rhododendrons and you look out over the Sallandse Heuvelrug... that is endless daydreaming. My tip, take a nice break with a snack and a drink
