The imposing neo-baroque church building from 1914, with its twin towers and mighty dome, dominates the townscape of Lindenberg and is also known as the "Cathedral of the West Allgäu" due to its size. Particularly noteworthy are the ceiling frescoes by the Lindenberg painter Paul Keck and the stained-glass windows in the side aisles, based on designs by the Munich painter Julius Exter. The church has the largest bell ringing in the Diocese of Augsburg. It is also probably the only church to feature a depiction of Jesus wearing a hat.
