Up here, the view of Gmunden is still restricted by trees, the view to the north towards Kronberg/Vöcklaberg is clear

At the farm after the Gasthof Urzn you have the absolutely perfect view of Traunstein & Traunsee 🤩

The approximately 7 km long route is perfect for downhill riding, with only a steeper gradient and rougher gravel at the very top. After about 0.5 km, the terrain becomes increasingly easier and the path descends gently, allowing you to truly enjoy the fast descent 🤩 The uphill section can be a bit psychologically tough 🤔

The small summit cross on the side of the path is easily overlooked - it stands a little way from the striking viewpoint

Unfortunately, the highlight marking is completely wrong: The position of the bridge is a good 5 km away and there is no view of Lake Mondsee in the Weißenbachtal valley -> total nonsense 🤪🥴🤬

There is also a window to the north overlooking Vöcklabruck, the view over the south side is absolutely super

Here, a wide forest path becomes narrower trails along the Hongar Ridge. Most of the photos published here are from the "wider" surroundings.

The hiking trail on the Hongar Ridge is easy to ride with a mountain bike - with a road bike it is rather uncomfortable
