Former Berreuth Castle and Castle Grounds. Information: The castle and manor were built as a four-sided courtyard complex with a total of five buildings between 1553 and 1586. Today, the site is used for various purposes, including inhabited farm buildings, and the castle park is open to the public and crisscrossed by hiking trails.

This small cave/cellar formerly belonged to the Berreuth manor and served as an icehouse/storage room. The cellar is open to the public, but a flashlight or headlamp is recommended.

On the grounds of the former Berreuth manor, interesting details can be explored and there are various information boards about the history.

Berreuth also had a beautiful knight's castle with a large park. In 1550 the owners were the Lords of Los, in 1560 Elector August, during the Thirty Years' War Court Marshal Taube, and around 1750 Chamberlain Lippold von Reinhardtsgrimma. In 1893 Baron Pergler von Perglas acquired the manor. In more recent times the castle passed into the possession of the banker Arnold in 1931, who then left it to the Lindenhayn family. In 1946 the castle went up in flames and burned down to its foundations.
