In December 2011, a locomotive and a car were installed on a remaining piece of track at the former Birkenfeld train station. It is intended to be reminiscent of the former “Birkenfeld Railway”. A nice stretch between the B269 and Kirschweiler with no traffic.

Climb Mt. Grillo is spicy when you drive North-South. Approx 1.5 km, average 6.6%, max approx 10%. Excellent asphalt. At the top you will be rewarded with a beautiful viewpoint. The South-North side is longer at about 2.5 km, but less steep on average. Asphalt is less here. No problem climbing, but descending on this side requires caution.
