The "Nonnenstein" on Lake Constance is not a hill, but a well-known and popular dog bathing spot in Nonnenhorn, a Bavarian climatic health resort on Lake Constance. This idyllic village is known for its wine and fruit growing and, in addition to the dog bathing spot, also offers a gourmet trail, a Gothic St. James's Chapel, and many recreational opportunities such as cycling and boat trips.

Montfort Castle on Lake Constance is the landmark of the municipality of Langenargen. Originally planned as Villa Argena, it was intended to serve as a pleasure palace for King Wilhelm I of Württemberg. It was built on a promontory at the site of the ruins of Argen Castle. Today, it houses a discotheque and a restaurant, and summer concerts are held in the hall on the upper floor. A buyer was found in 1873: Princess Louise of Prussia (1829–1901). She acquired the castle, including all its real estate and furniture, for 130,000 guilders. Princess Louise used the castle primarily as her summer residence until her death in 1901.

The county road runs parallel to Lake Wieland in the area of the town of Tettnang in the Bodenseekreis district of Baden-Württemberg. It follows the shore of Lake Wieland, which is located near Kressbronn on Lake Constance and is surrounded by other lakes such as Lake Schleinsee and Lake Degersee. The road provides good connections to the surrounding villages and allows direct access to recreational activities on the lake, such as fishing and hiking.

True, very tempting. Just something to think about: during harvest time, a total of 10,000 people easily come by here. Even if everyone takes "just" one apple, that's still 10,000 in total. In some orchards, this is so extreme that the first row is completely cleared by "thieves." --> It's better to buy apples directly from the farmer. That way, everyone benefits: the farmer can survive, and the apples they pay for taste much better, too! 😉
