On the left side of the valley lies the Kubbeli Kilise (Dome Church) with its adjoining rooms, dating from the 10th century and carved into a single rock cone. The cone is decorated on the outside with imitation ashlar and a dentil cornice, presumably intended to give the impression of a freestanding church.

After paying the entrance fee, you go down the steps into the valley. You can stock up on drinking water at the kiosks in the car park. The entrance fee is 15 EUR (as of autumn 2024). By paying in TRY with a credit card, you may be able to save a little due to exchange rate fluctuations.

The Kirkdamalti Kilise – "the church under forty roofs" or also called "St George's Church" – dates back to the 13th century. The date was confirmed by an inscription in the church. The depictions on the interior walls of the church show Saint George on a white horse.
