The gem of the Hanseatic city is right outside the gates of Wesel: the Auesee. As a popular excursion destination, the Auesee with its sports facilities attracts guests from near and far to Wesel. There are many activities in the natural surroundings: diving, swimming, surfing, sailing, beach volleyball and disc golf (a beach volleyball net and disc golf discs can be hired on site) are extremely popular. An attractive circular route (approx. 7 km) leads walkers, joggers and cyclists through the landscape protection area around the lake. For those who don't like it that far, the illuminated running track on the peninsula (3.6 km) is ideal
