🏔️🗿 Torfmoorseeの地質自然学習遊歩道は、屋外での魅力的なタイムトラベルです。湖の周りの人気の周回コースに直接組み込まれており、歩きながら文字通りHörstel地域とTeutoburger Waldの地質学的歴史を発見する機会を提供します。

🌊🌲 HörstelにあるTorfmoorseeは、水と自然を愛するすべての人にとって真のハイライトです。人気の水浴場であるだけでなく、約2.5キロメートルの周回路は、リラックスした散歩や短いサイクリングに最適なコースを提供しています。

The lake was created by dredging sand for the construction of the nearby A30 motorway; a relic of this time stands at the Torfmoorsee with an information board.

It's worth a stop here. Coal mining at a depth of over 1 km is a bit like scraping the fruit layer out of a cake. Seriously. At the front are the coal planers, equipped with 500 kW motors, planing away the coal seam, constantly advancing. The large blue part supports the upper part of the cake above the coal seam. It's self-supporting, after all. Together with the planer, it moves further and further into the seam, and behind it, the ceiling finally crashes down (at a depth of 1 km!). What a machine and what a workplace!

The Torfmoorsee is an absolute highlight, especially the sunsets in summer after a refreshing swim.

The "Küdchen" at the lake no longer exists, but the "Ankerplätzchen" is. With the seating made of pallets, it is a very nice location,
