July 2023 : still going over the main road; the cycling path is actually continuing on the eastern side of the river; so you might wish to stay on that side

Unfortunately the main street without a cycle path and still many construction sites, October 2022. Very scenic, but a bit stressful with the car traffic.

Very suitable as a descent, not recommended as an increase. There wasn't that much traffic in October, but I can imagine it's busier in the summer.

I wouldn't necessarily drive up the main road, it's a good descent.
