The Fritz Schneeweis footbridge is named after master builder Fritz Schneeweis (1930 - 1999), head of the "Civil Engineering" department of the city's building authority and managing director of the Wiener Neustadt-south wastewater association. Long-time functionary of the ATV Wiener Neustadt, chairman for 30 years. The ATV experienced enormous growth under his leadership and developed into one of the largest clubs in the city. Master builder Fritz Schneeweis was also district chairman of the ASKÖ for many years.
