The original lookout tower was built in 1903, later unfortunately destroyed and rebuilt in 2007. The 28 meter high wooden and steel construction, which winds around a 100 year old tree, has 133 steps to climb. The ascent is always worthwhile, because the view extends over the Rosaliengebirge to Lake Neusiedl and even to Sopron and Bratislava.

Above Bad Sauerbrunn, on the top of the Wurthberg is the Wetterkreuz. A bench invites you to enjoy the magnificent panoramic view. PS: The picture of the cross comes from a hiking highlight, because unfortunately I accidentally deleted my picture.

The Fleischhackerkreuz - also called the Sauter, Marien or Wetterkreuz - is a beautiful tabernacle pillar. The cross stands on the way to Neudörfl.

Wrought iron cross with statue of Christ. The spaces between the cross are filled with a green glass. There is a deer antler on the upper part of the cross. The cross stands on a natural stone. [marterl.at]

Marienquelle, also called "Sauerbründl". What looks like a small wooden hut for resting turns out to be a spring tap on closer inspection. A few steps down it's already there, the spring surrounded by iron-red deposits. ATTENTION: NO drinking water!
