Hamerling war Antisemit.

The Herrensee is surrounded by a 4.5 km long marked circular path that is only intended for pedestrians. Even in winter the path is easy to walk on. Display boards provide information about the flora and fauna. A lido, cafés and boat rentals complete the range of leisure activities. If you are traveling in the region, you should definitely stop by.

This rock was Fritz Wendl's favorite spot. The Litschau ironmonger and angler lived from 1918 to 1982. His children dedicated this rock to his 100th birthday on March 4, 2018.

The Litschauer minnesinger lived around 1272. He was a master of the bourgeoisie who traveled about his art. He stayed in particular at the court of Ottokar, who was often praised by the singers and who was the Duke of Austria at the time. Four of his poems have survived.

For Robert Hamerling, who was born in Kirchberg am Walde in 1830, the Litschau school teacher Karl Zimmel had this monument erected in 1915. The writer and poet Hamerling was one of the most widely read German-speaking authors of his time. He died in Graz in 1889.

This cross commemorates Ferdinand Blach, who died in an accident here at Herrensee on August 3, 2003.
