Unfortunately, I have to take back my tip from 2018! I wanted to go to Almstadl with my wife today to eat. I sent everything back...I've never had such food anywhere before and it's expensive too...I think they're new tenants...Never again Almstadl!!!...it would be smarter to stop off at Lore (inn) straight after.

Beautiful and easy circular hike. There is a paid parking lot right by the lake (car €3.- / day) The nicer path runs along the left bank, i.e. if you go anti-clockwise from the parking lot. On the other side, the route goes mostly on asphalt and with not so much direct "contact" with the lake back to the starting point.

Beautiful narrow trail with alpine character from Schwarzenbach to Scharzensee. Runs mostly in the shady area. Very varied with many steps, rooty and rough rocky path. Appropriate hiking shoes, stamina and, above all, sure-footedness are very beneficial for making this climb fun.
