The tunnel is over 800 meters long. A narrow footpath runs alongside the narrow road through the tunnel. The tunnel is well lit, so a flashlight or headlamp isn't necessary.

The Scardara valley is enclosed between suggestive rock walls (particularly loved by boulders), comfortable green meadows and the cool stream.

The Val Scaradra is at the very end of the Blenio Valley, sandwiched between the Greina plain and the Rheinwaldhorn (Adula), the highest peak in Ticino. The former Frauenalp is located in a wonderful valley basin and thanks to the noble self-catering hut you can live comfortably here. Many boulders, a climbing garden and the proud nine pitches of the "Via Scaradra" make a visit definitely worthwhile. The alp itself is flat and therefore very child-friendly, but the approach should not be underestimated, especially when it is wet (90 minutes)
