Is a beautiful fountain figure

The Tine, Husum's secret landmark, stands on the base of the market fountain built in 1902. Created by the Husum-born sculptor Adolf Brütt, the bronze figure depicts a young fisherman's wife in wooden shoes. The Tine in Husum commemorates two of the city's benefactors: Catharina Asmussen and Friedrich Woldsen, from whose names the short form for the figure was derived.

The Tine fountain is located in Husum on the market square in the center. The Tine fountain is also known as the secret landmark of the city of Husum. The Tine, as the Tine fountain is also affectionately known, consists of two parts. One part is the fountain and the second part is the Tine figure. The fountain was built in 1902. The official name of the market fountain is Asmussen-Woldsen-Brunnen. It is named after two benefactors of the city of Husum: Friedrich Woldsen and Anna Catharina “Tine” Asmussen. The Lamberti Church, located in the center of Mildstedt, is one of the oldest churches in the region and was built around 1200. At that time, Mildstedt was a thriving trading center in the Südergoesharde region. This landscape, located between the Treene and Arlau rivers, is part of the Schleswig-Holstein Geest and was an administrative district until the mid-19th century. The North Friesland Museum in the Nissen House mainly presents “topics about life by and with the sea” (Tourism and City Marketing Husum). The building is named after Husum-born Ludwig Nissen, who emigrated to New York in 1872 and later gained wealth and influence there as a successful businessman. Before his death in 1924, he set up a foundation in aid of his hometown with the stipulation that a museum, library and art gallery be established. The museum was built between 1934 and 1937 according to plans by the architect Georg Rieve, which were already ten years old at the time. The sculptor Alwin Blaue created the expressionist building sculptures on the facade – ox, phoenix and triton horse.
