Built in the Art Deco style in 1937 and designed by the engineer Cervi, who was inspired by the central station in Milan, the station is entirely covered in white and pink travertine; it is also characterised by large arched windows, present on the opposite facades of the entrance and the side of the tracks. Historic urban park, Cultural Heritage of Emilia Romagna The historic public park extends behind the large and modern building of the Terme Zoja and was created in the early 1900s to offer a pleasant stay to the many visitors to the already renowned spa town. Although smaller than the original project, the green area, known in the past as "Parco Regina Margherita" (in homage to Margherita di Savoia, who used to frequent the spa town), retains a typical Italian garden, a small lake and many trees dating back to the first layout of the park.
