The Frauenkirchen Jewish Cemetery is located on the southern outskirts of Frauenkirchen on St. Andräer Street. In 1934, the Jewish Community of Frauenkirchen still had 368 members. As a result of the Anschluss with Nazi Germany, the Jewish population was expelled and murdered. The synagogue was also destroyed. The cemetery contains 1,320 graves on an area of 5,700 m². In 1994, the cemetery was restored by the Schalom Association. A new gate was also built. In its renovated state, the cemetery was handed over to the community for further maintenance. The cemetery is easily visible from the street side – if you are visiting in person, please collect the key to the main gate from Frauenkirchen Town Hall! The Basilica of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary is a baroque, Roman Catholic pilgrimage church in the municipality of Frauenkirchen in the Neusiedl am See district in Burgenland. The pilgrimage church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary made the place a well-known place of pilgrimage as early as the 14th century. The frescoes that adorn both the side walls of the church and the vaults are particularly impressive. The three rosary mysteries and numerous saints of the Franciscan order are depicted on the north wall of the church. – Luca Antonio Columba created these works of art as a gifted fresco painter. The stucco work is by Petro Antonio Conti. They increase the effect of the frescoes and give the entire church interior something elegant. In typical baroque style - a painted wooden wall that simulates a mighty marble structure - the high altar fills the east side of the church interior. The center of the altar is the tabernacle with the Blessed Sacrament and the statue of grace “Mary on the Heath” from 1240. The statue of grace is flanked by the two Hungarian national saints Stefan and Ladislaus. In large letters on the high altar it is written in Latin: Refugium peccatorum - refuge of sinners. This may also be the secret for the many visitors to the basilica. Sinners big and small, saints big and small, everyone is welcome at Maria auf der Heide and feels a sense of security. The Frauenkirchen Basilica is open daily from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.!

The artificial Calvary on the western side of the basilica was built around 1685, two years after the site was destroyed by the Turks. It spirals up three times to a small plateau from which a stone crucifixion group from 1759 rises into the sky. The chapels show stations of the Savior's suffering in stone reliefs.

The commemorative plaque was attached to the wall of the old cemetery near Calvary in 1993 during a large celebration of the Danube Swabian associations.
