Tried to do this walk unfortunately the bridge over the river is gated and locked off so we had to turn round and walk back via the road

Built in the 1st century BC by the Romans, this bridge has been an important gateway over the Guadalquivir River. Originally, it had 16 arches, although only 14 remain today, and it connects the historic center of Córdoba with the Campo de la Verdad neighborhood. Calahorra Tower: This fortress of Islamic origin was conceived as an entrance and protection for the Roman Bridge. It was declared a Historic-Artistic Site in 1931. The tower has undergone several renovations over the centuries, including the addition of a third tower in the 14th century.

The Balcón del Guadalquivir is a viewing point that offers spectacular views of the Guadalquivir River and the city of Córdoba. It is a perfect place to enjoy a quiet walk and take impressive photographs of the landscape.

The castle "Castillo de Almodóvar" is an impressive fortress that stands prominently on the El Redondo hill. In the 20th century, the castle was extensively restored by Rafael Desmaissières y Farina, Count of Torralva. This work gave the castle its current striking appearance, which seems very medieval, although many elements have been reconstructed. The castle was used for the filming of the series Game of Thrones. It served as the backdrop for Highgarden, the seat of House Tyrell. In October 2024, the seventh edition of the Age of Empires tournament sponsored by Red Bull took place in the castle under the name "Red Bull Wololo El Reinado".

The Puente Romano (Roman Bridge) in Córdoba is one of the city's most famous landmarks and an impressive example of Roman engineering. The bridge spans the Guadalquivir River and connects the old town of Córdoba with the southern districts. The bridge was built in the 1st century BC during the Roman period, when Córdoba (Corduba) was an important Roman provincial city. During the Moorish rule, the bridge was restored and expanded several times, which significantly influenced its current appearance. It was restored in the Renaissance and later periods, most recently extensively in the 21st century, to make it safe and attractive for pedestrians and visitors. The bridge consists of 16 arches, many of which are still based on Roman foundations. It is 247 meters long and built of local stone, which gives it its characteristic sandy coloring. The bridge is particularly impressive at night, when it is illuminated and reflected on the water's surface. A real eye-catcher, stays in the memory!

The castle complex, whose origins date back to the 8th century, is remarkably well preserved and has been restored with great attention to detail.

Walking through the Jewish Quarter at dusk, almost at nightfall, is spectacular. And enjoying a spicy chicken sandwich in the gardens with a beer, gazing at the city walls in absolute tranquility, is priceless. I'm from here, and it's my favorite Saturday. I highly recommend it.
