ヴィスマルにある聖ニコライ教会は、レンガ造りのゴシック様式のランドマークであるだけでなく、ハンザ同盟の歴史の印象的な証でもあります。船乗りと漁師の教会（そのため聖ニコラウスに捧げられています）として、この街の海洋の伝統に深く根ざしています。ヴォールトの高さは37メートルで、聖ニコライ教会はドイツで4番目に高い身廊を持つ教会です（ウルム大聖堂、ケルン大聖堂、リューベックの聖マリア教会に次ぐ）。

A wide street in the old town leading to the harbor. It's so wide because there used to be a sewer running through its center.

Located directly on the market square, it boasts well-preserved buildings from various centuries and architectural styles. Today, it houses the Citizens' Office and the Finance Administration.
