Rastdorf was created as exactly that: as a place to rest for people who walked the old church path from Gehlenberg to Werlte. At the Koloniestein there are signs telling about it, seating and a small shelter

A short side path leads to the bird watching hut. A few steps take you to the observation hut with seating and information boards about the birds to be observed. You have a wide view over the Theikenmeer.

This is part of the Hümmlinger pilgrimage route. Very natural, very beautiful and varied landscape. We can only recommend it.
