"Barrier-Free" Drau Power Plant Lavamünd Cross-river structures such as the Lavamünd hydroelectric power plant represent impassable obstacles for fish and other organisms. According to the 2009 National Water Management Plan of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management, restoring river flow is a priority goal for improving the ecological status of rivers. On the south side of the Drau Bridge, a small but beautiful rest area with a view of Lavamünd has been created and information boards about the hydroelectric power station and the Geopark can be read🤓🤩

The new Lavant Bridge at Drauspitz was recently fitted with lighting. The official Drau cycle path R1 runs over the bridge and is also an important pedestrian connection for the population to and from the centre of Lavamünd.
