A school was first mentioned in 1696. The building was probably built in 1838. It was renovated in 2012/2013. A sign on the building provides information about its history.

Starting in 2024, this section of road will be a bicycle lane. The asphalt surface has been renewed, so nothing stands in the way of cycling fun. A ride from Lastrup towards Cloppenburg is now a real pleasure. And in the middle of it all, the Bleiburg picnic area invites you to take a break.

Don't be surprised, but more is better. On both sides of the bridge there is a statue of the "bridge saint" John of Nepomuk. The people of Herzlak are playing it safe ;-)
