The church in Oberndorf was originally built in the 15th century and has been expanded and remodeled several times over the centuries. Its current form is primarily the result of the Baroque reconstruction in the 18th century. Particularly noteworthy are the elaborately designed high altar, the fine ceiling frescoes, and the harmonious interior, typical of Tyrolean Baroque. The striking onion dome dominates the townscape and is visible from afar. The church is easily accessible by bike, and religious festivals and processions regularly take place around it, closely linking village life with its religious tradition to this day.

A cable car takes you from the other side to the summit.

Kitzbühel Medieval town, young flair We reach the oldest part of the town: the town wall with the Jochberger Gate and the Pfleghof. A castle with a residential wing and watchtower stood here as early as 1120. Today, all that remains of the former Kitzbühel Castle is the five-story Pfleghof tower. The Jochberger Gate is the entrance to the historic old town, from here you can see the entire “promenade” for the first time. I now understand what Pepi means when he talks about the “very special aura” of this town: the colorful house facades shine in the morning sun, tables and chairs are set up in front of the cafés and umbrellas are put up. At the other end of the old town, the two towers of the Liebfrauen and Andreas churches greet you, and you can even see the Wilder Kaiser behind them. I actually feel a bit like I’m on vacation. Very nicely done

On the narrow Jägersteig you have a magnificent view of the Kitzbüheler Horn.

When the weather is clear, you can see the peaks of the Kaiser Mountains very clearly. It's as if they were close enough to touch.
