From various vantage points you have a breathtaking view of the turquoise mountain lake, which lies on a high plateau between Engelberg and Titlis. The scenery with the clear water and the surrounding mountains is simply spectacular and invites you to linger and take photos.

The Tannensee in the Urner Alps is the upper reservoir in the source area of the Grosse Melchaa, a tributary of the Sarner Aa.
