In winter, the lake is frozen, and a flat trail surrounded by mountain slopes is surreal. In summer, the lake shrinks until it almost disappears. Then you can walk on the lake floor (dark earth), like walking on the moon. Also surreal. ;)

🌾🏞️ The mudflats at Daubensee are a fascinating natural phenomenon that is characterized by its unique ecological conditions. This special landscape is created when bodies of water in the alpine region dry up at low water levels and expose wide, flat areas.
