This refuge is located in the Chablais massif, very close to the GR 5. It is a good stopover point to discover the forests, mountain pastures and peaks in the surrounding area. It has 44 beds (reduced to 20 during the winter period). The refuge provides a kitchen area (without a fridge) to allow you to prepare your meals. La Cabane de la Braye is a comfortable, unsupervised cabin located in the Swiss Pre-Alps, at an altitude of 1431 meters. It can accommodate up to 8 people, but you must bring your own sleeping bag and fuel for the stove. It has dishes, a cauldron, a table, benches, a hatchet and a saw. You can collect rainwater in barrels or find a nearby source. The cabin is surrounded by forests and meadows, and offers panoramic views of Lake Geneva and the Alps. It is an ideal destination for hikers who love nature and solitude. La Cabane de la Braye is a hidden gem in the Swiss countryside, where you can experience the simple and authentic life of mountain people.

Very nice refuge with an incredible view of the Chablais. Located at the foot of Mont de Grange and just under the Col des Mattes, you can climb there simply to eat, or as a "variant" stage of the GR5.

Very nice little refuge accessible from a passage on the way which can be impressive. Do not hesitate to stop there for a drink, spend the night or even ask for advice on the route.

A bit off the GR5 but a good alternative and great views as you continue south.

The Trébentaz refuge offers 24 dormitory beds as well as two tent pitches. You can also dine like a king in an authentic and family atmosphere.
