Very long trail along the Suone

The impressive view of the summit parade from the Matterhorn to Mont Blanc and a particularly diverse range of activities throughout the year are the assets of the two twin towns. Five idyllic swimming lakes, spicy-smelling mountain forests, the extensive network of hiking trails or a cozy fondue evening in a rustic restaurant are examples of family-friendly, nature-oriented Crans-Montana. With 177 kilometers of marked trails, two downhill routes and the Kona bike park, the mountain biking offer in Crans Montana is excellent. The place is a popular starting point for training rides for cyclists.

Winding, flowing banked turns tumble through the treeline between the towns of Montana and Loc. This section offers an exciting way to head back down to the valley after a long day in the mountains and the bike park, as well as being a great option for a quick descent during the lunch break.

However, it is consistently easy to drive on.

This part of the single trail descent down to Varen is technically a bit more demanding: Loose stones, steep terrain and short rocky sections will challenge your driving skills and make your brake discs burn.

The descent is indicated on the map as S1, but if you don't have your bike under control, don't do it. The trail is easy to drive and has no steps. However, it is quite steep and gravelly. Therefore, a good grip is required. I classify the trail as S2.
