The location of the Hotel Weisshorn is as spectacular as the mountains of the Val d'Anniviers. It is located on the side of the valley, at an altitude of 2,337 metres, surrounded by majestic four-thousanders. The hotel was first built in 1882 and was owned by the same family for nearly 80 years. It was destroyed by fire and later rebuilt. A curiosity: the piano inside the hotel was transported on the backs of 6 people in 1891. The Col de Torrent is located at an altitude of 2,919 metres. The ascent from Les Haudères is quite steep for most of the way, but the trail isn't particularly technical.
