A great little hike with breathtaking views of the lake. There's a large section on tarmac depending on the route taken, but it's still a pleasant experience!

🚗 Arnensee is accessible from Gstaad or Feutersoey. You can arrive by car and park at the parking lot near the lake. Please note that the access road is private and a fee must be paid at the barrier. 🚶‍♂️The hike around Arnensee is about 4 km long and takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. The trail is well-marked and suitable for all fitness levels. 🚴‍♀️ Arnensee is also a popular destination for mountain bikers. There are various trails leading through the stunning scenery, suitable for both beginners and experienced bikers. 🍽️ Arnensee has a cozy restaurant serving regional specialties and refreshments. Lake Hongrin is an artificial basin located in the canton of Vaud. The water is treated in the Veytaux power plant and then flows into Lake Geneva. it is possible to bathe only in certain places. Also, since the area around the lake is a military shooting range, access during the week is often restricted or prohibited.

This is the oldest double arch dam in Europe, built in the early 1920s. It creates a beautiful artificial lake that you can walk around in around 3 hours. With its calm waters on one side and the magnificent and exhilarating waterfall on the other, this is an event not to be missed.

Lake Lioson is also known as the “Pearl of the Alpine Lakes”. You will enjoy views of mountains, forests, rivers and wildflowers. The trail is moderately difficult, with an elevation gain of 1,443 feet. The best time to visit this trail is from May to October, when the weather is pleasant and the lake is clear. You can also stop at the Lac Lioson restaurant to eat or have a drink. This trail is a great way to discover the beauty and culture of the Vaud region.
