The forestry company has cut back the hedge, exposed the overgrown figures and partly rearranged them.

What a variety of vegetation there is 😳. From east to west, the entrance to the final section is so overgrown with blackberry vines that you can't get through without bleeding scratches.

The Dr. Schneider Bridge is the first bridge on the Nidau-Büren Canal. It is named after Dr. Johann Rudolf Schneider, who campaigned for the correction of the Jura waters. From the bridge you have a beautiful view of the beginning of the canal further ahead on Lake Biel.

The twelve-kilometer-long Nidau-Büren canal begins here at Seespitz. In addition to several benches with a view of the lake, there is also a permanent barbecue area here.

Some forestry work has made the trail wider and less attractive. Fortunately, not along its entire length.

Unfortunately, except for the bear on the east side, they are heavily overgrown.

Beautiful gravel meadow path. Cows are probably on the way too;-)
