The arboretum is located a little way outside on a hill northwest of the old town, but the short detour is worth it. All kinds of woody species are carefully presented, along with herbs, flowers, and grasses from all over the world. Everything is beautifully labeled. In addition to countless different rose varieties in all colors and shapes, visitors will also find all sorts of other plants here. The grounds are well maintained. The grounds are wonderfully well-maintained and authentic. The colorful koi in the lake are an attraction in their own right. Here you can enjoy gently babbling waterfalls in this oasis and linger at the sacred tree square in the Japanese Garden.

The Japanese Garden is one of the city of Bad Langensalza's five themed gardens. The Arboretum tree park boasts a constantly changing array of blossoms, making it worth a visit at any time of year. Depending on the weather, half a million early bloomers will stretch toward the sun starting in late March. New flowering plants, such as fireballs, giant lilies, and wild gladiolas, will then create a colorful sea of blossoms. Dahlias, marigolds, vanilla flowers, asters, and roses will be present in the summer and late summer blooms. With autumn crocuses blooming from September to October, the Arboretum will bid farewell to its winter break on October 31st.
