The complex consists of several fortifications, including a circular wall with an outer diameter of approximately 100 x 90 meters at the northern end of the ridge and three slightly arched cross-walls that closed off the southern access side. The complex is protected as an archaeological monument.

A path runs around half of the lake, the other half can be easily walked along the edge of the field. There are 2 bathing areas, a barbecue area and several jetties.

As part of the large-scale nature conservation project “Peenetal / Peene-Haff-Moor”, the areas in the Große Rosin were permanently flooded. From the observation tower near the Aalbude you have a wide view over this extensive water landscape.

At the end point of the Slavic Path there is another information point with a playground. Very nice place, good place to rest, you step out of the forest onto a beautiful meadow

Super nice people with great tips. A real recommendation here is to rent a canoe or kayak. There are tours to the water hiking rest stop 8 km away, to Demmin or a 5-day tour on offer. The rental takes care of the return transport. Individual paddling is also offered.

Great place for a break. A lovingly designed, covered recreation area is located right next to the source. The water is good for me. I filled 1.5 liters into a bottle and drank it throughout the day. Yummy!
