the trail is great fun

With the MTB it is much more fun to ride the narrow trail that is next to the main path! You won't reach top speed there, because the trail is very narrow and offers a lot of zigzags! So look at the small entrances!

Great fun to ride - not only with the MTB - the trail is also suitable for Gravel.

definitely Gravel (or MTB) ... makes you happy to ride (don't be afraid of the dogs, the fence is high enough 😉)

MTB descent

The local recreation area Hambörn Südergellersen is located one and a half kilometers west of the village Südergellersen and is very varied: Species-rich grassland, small heather areas, the Bürgerwald Südergellersen, a lookout tower (on which you can see as far as Lüneburg and further) and the Hambörn funeral forest are to be found here Find. The avenue of trees welcomes you in the Bürgerwald: here you can learn a lot about the tree species and their importance. Trees are planted on another part for special occasions such as weddings and births. A diverse natural landscape was found here: a wide variety of valuable habitats, such as old deciduous forests, a heathland, hedges, pioneer forests and meadows make this area a lovable natural habitat and recreation area. An old sheepfold with a Koehler hut is located here and can be used for events. The largest area, however, is made up of a mixed deciduous forest dominated by beeches, which is allowed to develop into a "primeval forest" by renouncing any use. If you want to explore the wider area, you can hike on the Südergellersen corridor trail from here. The Lopautrail is not only great fun, it also has it in places. Unfortunately, part of the trail has fallen victim to the forest workers with their machines at the moment ... more like a freeway. 🤗

Right and left of the track are always smaller hill slopes.
