The tour was very varied despite its manageable length. I can recommend it at any time of year. The last time I was there (October 2024) the hiking trails were in top condition. The grass was mown and most of the wet spots were easy to pass. I have to give a big compliment to the hard-working spirits.

Nice and secluded, but with a roof, so great if it rains. The moor isn't that great, but you can see quite far :-) I would recommend it as a place to take a break.

As early as 2013, around 1,000 students from the Hümmling Gymnasium and the Schule am Schloss made the first school forest against climate change by the Zukunft Wald Foundation a reality on an area next to the Raddesee. From the field to the lake Here in the Radde lowlands of Sögel, a large body of still water has been created on agricultural land or coniferous land. Three existing fishing waters that were far from nature and a ditch were also redesigned to be as natural as possible. The “Theikenmeer” is a 250 hectare area that has been a nature reserve since 1936. It is located on the Hümmlinger pilgrimage route on the 26.7 km long Sögel – Werlte stage. The nature reserve with the registration number NSG WE 010 includes a raised bog, the Wehmer Dose, with a lake in it. Both are important resting places for migratory water birds.
