The title of "highlight" is completely inaccurate. Firstly, this is the small town of Erlach. And secondly, Erlach is 40km from Bern!

Beautiful courtyard, a climb to the castle hill is very worthwhile

Good view of both sides of the old Zihl, one side is overgrown with duckweed and has various birds, the other side towards the Zihl canal is more open.

Various hiking trails lead more or less directly to this vantage point, which offers a view of Lake Biel, Erlach and even the Alps (weather permitting). Some of the trails are accessible by bike, but are often difficult or even impossible (stairs that are not shown here)!

The Vaux stream is nestled among the trees of the Bernese Jura forest, and flows between Lignières and La Neuveville. From the Combe du Pilouvi trail, the view of the falls is breathtaking. It is a natural site full of magic, where witches once came to bathe in the sparkling water of the pools.

Suspended between lake, vineyard and mountain, the medieval village of La Neuveville is one of the most beautiful villages in Switzerland. In the old town, enjoy the beautiful colorful facades, the superb views of the cliffs and Lake Biel, and the small cobbled streets.
