ヴィッテンブルクの城壁沿い、ビュルガー公園の近くには、ウンディーネの泉と呼ばれる小さな小川が静かに流れています。伝説によると、ウンディーネという名の妖精が、ある男性に永遠の愛の幸福を約束しました。その男性は約束を受け入れ、忠誠を誓いました。しかし後に、彼は別の女性と結婚し、ウンディーネは彼を死で罰しました。しかし、彼の死はウンディーネを満足させるものではなく、むしろ逆でした。起こったことに対して深く不幸を感じた彼女は、埋葬の後、その男性の墓の上に泉へと姿を変えました。この姿で、彼女は今もなお、愛する人を優しい腕で抱きしめています。2010年には、「伝説と童話の道」協会の会員資格の一環として、ウンディーネの等身大の木製像が泉のそばに設置されました。この像は、以前、町の歴史的な市庁舎の前でわずか2日間で制作されたものでした。

Undine Spring Wittenburg. Since June 2008, the town of Wittenburg has been a member of the "Legends and Fairy Tale Route" association. Like all other member towns, Wittenburg also has its own original fairy tale character: the legendary Undine at her enchanted spring. On the wall in Wittenburg, near the Bürgerpark, a small stream babbles peacefully: the Undine Spring. According to legend, a fairy named Undine once promised a man eternal happiness in love if he sworn fidelity to her. The man kept the promise and pledged his loyalty. Later, however, he married another woman, and Undine punished him with death. But his death brought Undine no satisfaction; quite the opposite. Even though she was deeply unhappy about what had happened, she transformed herself into a spring on the man's grave after the funeral. In this form, she still embraces her beloved with loving arms. As part of the association's membership in the "Legends and Fairytale Route," a life-size wooden statue of Undine was placed at the spring in 2010. It had been crafted in just two days in front of the town's historic town hall. A real gem what it is located south-west of Schwerin. The landscape protection area Siebendörfer Moor is a fen that has its origins in the Ice Age. It was created from the silting up of a ground moraine lake and can now be safely accessed on foot or by bike on asphalted and paved paths.

The oldest beech avenue in the north

This avenue is impressive, although a number of beeches have already been replaced by new ones. The whole area is also well maintained. One should have been there.

To the right and left of the road there are two reservoirs of the Stepenitz. As far as I know, the Stepenitz was dammed here in the 1970s. It is worth taking a short break here to enjoy nature.
