Many people say: It's a stupid place. I think Fürstenwerder is great. I make an effort to cycle there every year.

Massive and great observation tower with a wonderful view of the valleys. It is particularly beautiful to see when the flowers are in bloom.

The estate park, which is accessible all year round, was built in the style of an English landscape park with baroque garden art. The special thing about the park is its rare tree species, which are protected. Here you will find cucumber magnolias, copper beeches, weeping ash trees and tulip trees. The cultural and local association of the municipality of Weggun e.V. takes passionate care of the landscape park, but also of the annual events that take place here. These include the mobile cinema, which transforms the estate park into an open-air cinema hall between June and September every year.

The way from the north (we came) was reasonably easy to find. We had our problems with the continuation to the south, since no path can be seen or signposted through the forest. Also, the path is not used that much that you could recognize it as such ... (but looking at the cell phone and 200 m navigation only with the app, you can also find your way back to civilization through blackberries and over fallen trees. .. ;-))

The small village of Warbende is secluded, almost a little hidden, on the border to the Feldberg Lake District. Here, in 1834, August Alexander Springfeld had the manor park laid out as an English landscape park, in which the stylistic elements of the great park creator Peter Joseph Lenné can still be found today. The listed Gutspark Warbende is still characterized by its extensive old, preserved tree population: these include cucumber magnolia, yew columns, a copper beech, weeping ash and a tulip tree.
