The Martha Spring and the Johanna Spring (near the Klingenmünster Clinic) refer to one and the same person, namely the young girl Martha Maria Johanna Sophie Karrer (1874 - 1887), who died at a young age after a long ordeal. "She was the eldest of the 5 daughters of the royal director (1883 - 1916) of today's Palatinate Clinic, Dr. Ferdinand Karrer and his wife Emma.
