これらのブドウの木はまさにベテランです：「Rhodter Rosengarten」はすでに400年以上経過していますが、今でもワインを生産しています。ワインの村Rhodt unter Rietburgにあるこのブドウ畑は、1618年から1648年まで続いた三十年戦争よりも前に存在していたと言い伝えられています。これにより、Rosengartenは少なくともプファルツ地方、いや世界で最も古い、まだ実を結ぶブドウ畑となっています。現在でも約600平方メートルの土地に300本のブドウの木が立っており、そのほとんどがトラミネール種で、間に少数のシルヴァーナー種が混在しています。誰が植えたかは不明です。しかし、Rhodt unter Rietburgではおそらくローマ時代からワインが栽培されており、いずれにせよ、この地は中世からトラミネール種で知られています。（インターネット抜粋 https://www.pfalz.de/de/sehenswuerdigkeit/rhodter-rosengarten-aeltester-noch-tragender-weinberg-der-welt）

The so-called Bear Ponds are fish ponds managed by the Ottersheim Angling Club. They are located in a nature reserve. At the southeastern corner of the lower pond, there is a fish sculpture commemorating Jean Benz, a prominent figure in the angling community. A beautiful covered rest area, the "Jean Benz Park," with two benches and a table, has recently been created at the northeastern corner of the lake, along the Queich Valley Cycle Path. It's a wonderful place to unwind... especially on mild evenings when the sun sets in the west and you can gaze out over the ponds.

At the Spitaläcker lies the Bärensee with benches around the lake.

The straightening of the Rhine by the Baden engineer Tulla shortened the shipping route between Basel and Worms by 81 km and better protected the region from flooding. However, this shifted the flood risk downstream of the Rhine and affected biodiversity.

Bird and forest trail between Speyerdorf and the Altenschemel industrial area

The Stork Association has set up an impressive bird trail that is a great destination for nature lovers and families alike. The bird trail is not only educational, but also scenic. It leads through picturesque fields and forests and offers numerous rest areas where you can enjoy nature.
