I arrived by train early Sunday morning and was able to enjoy the city in complete peace and quiet. Beautiful buildings, and the waterfront promenade, with its palm trees, olive trees, and other Mediterranean plants, evokes a southern atmosphere. Numerous benches invite you to linger, soak up the sun, and daydream.

Beautiful town on Lake Lugano, but all the shops are in the upper price segment. In December there is a nice, small Christmas market on the bank. The prices here are moderate.

The lake is divided between the Italian and Swiss borders and takes its name from the Swiss city of the same name. It is very beautiful as are its streets. It goes without saying that during the high summer season the roads are very busy, a real pleasure when there is less traffic. High visibility always recommended!
