The Buchstein rocks are a protected natural monument and a geotope located near Bayreuth. This striking rock formation consists of sandstone from the so-called Bayreuth Formation (Rhaetian-Lias or lowest Lias). The rocks, reaching up to 10 meters in height, exhibit particularly beautiful cross-bedding, honeycomb weathering, and limonite crystallization. A popular hiking destination, the rocks are characterized by their location in the middle of a forest and constantly offer new perspectives due to weathering processes. A historic water reservoir dating from 1893 is also located nearby.

The facility is really well done. Everything you need to have fun is there in a small, fine and compact way. Whether you just want to practice jumping, drops, berms, tree trunks for balancing - a good selection. There are two ways back to the start, one flatter but a bit longer, everything is well signposted. Big compliments to the builders. 👍

The sand pit at the Siegesturm is actually the perfect playground with lots of beautiful little trails, natural drops and roots. Unfortunately the best lines were blocked by ramps and "berms" that were thrown wildly into the area. Too bad. If you want to dig, you should turn to the boys and girls from the Bärenleite. There you can let off steam legally!

We looked at the bike park for the first time today, really great and a big thank you to the trail builders!!! What's been created there is really fun, you should definitely look at the trails beforehand so that you know where the jumps etc are! Great!!!!

On the one hand, the path itself is well worth seeing and pleasant to walk on and, on the other hand, you can learn a lot about bees, beekeeping and tree species. Really educational. There is also a parking lot in the forest at the beginning of the trail so it is quite easy to get there.

I like to go there, the 4 year old daughter can dig a bit in the sand and I can try out the different descents. Last time there were even other children there to play with my daughter. Playground completely different!
