The area was already placed under protection as a natural monument in 1938, and the protection status was later extended.

The Feisnitz reservoir is a reservoir that is well developed for tourism. There is a guest house, a campsite, a bathing area with a playground, fishing and much more. There is a beautiful circular path around the lake.

The natural monument (723 meters high) is easily accessible via a staircase. During Advent, the forest Christmas takes place here with numerous visitors.

It's easy to park at the Nagelmaschinen Highlight and get into the valley. The old factory has its charm. In the natural part of the valley you are suddenly away from "civilization", between rocks and old trees with the constant rushing of the Röslau. The Elisenfels Viaduct again announces the next location. Next to it the small waterfall still rustles gently.

The impressive rock castle is probably one of the most beautiful rocks in the Steinwald and is easy to climb via stairs. In December, the granite group is also an atmospheric setting for the forest Christmas. The rock is a popular photo motif and an easily accessible hiking and cycling destination.

The silver spring, tapped in 1919, is located on the hiking trail through the G'steinigt. It is reminiscent of mining in the Arzberg iron ore district. In 1863, a 100 meter long tunnel was driven into the rock at the Silberquelle, which was intended to drain the mine water from the Morgenstern shaft. The remains of a wheelhouse, a landing wall for ore barges and a natural weir date back to this time. Unfortunately, for safety reasons, the tunnel can no longer be visited.
