Beautiful natural spectacle. Nature Friends House is located nearby

The Nature Friends House Langenau is located right next to the Nau source and the Ach source in the northwest of Langenau, right next to a former quarry. A beautiful children's playground with plenty of shady seating invites you to take a break. Toilets, drinks and small snacks are available at really fair prices. The Nature Friends House is very easy to reach on foot, by bike and by car.

If the weather cooperates, great scenery.

The town of Langenau, which is rich in springs, is flowed through by the Nau. The main source is on the north-western outskirts at the Naturfreundehaus. Other important sources are Bunzenmüller's pond and Bader's pond in the city park of Wörh, the spoon fountain in the old courtyard and the romantic Grimmensee in Donauried. From the parking lot at the castle courtyard, a signposted circular path (Jubiläumsweg) of about 8 km leads to the springs in the city area. The best way to explore the Langenau Donauried is on the "Riedweg" nature trail (6 km) with a viewing tower. Start/finish is at the Nau, Ostener Kuften (near the sewage treatment plant). There is hardly any shade here, so it can be very hot in summer. A hat is advisable.
