Gundelfingen is a small town, also known as the "Gardeners' Town." Crossed by three river branches, the town lies between the meadows and floodplain forests of the Danube Valley.

In September, many migratory birds can be observed.

A beautiful place to rest, definitely worth seeing. It's best to drive from Lauingen along the Danube to the mouth. Simply brilliant 🤩

Many rare bird species can be observed up close and undisturbed here. When long periods of frost cover the numerous lakes along the Danube valley with a solid layer of ice, the reservoir is hectically busy. Swimming birds gather in large flocks to survive the ice periods on the last open water surfaces. With a little luck, you will then spot a sea eagle hunting or hear the far-reaching call of the whooper swans. Let yourself be enchanted by nature! Swimming is strictly prohibited here!

When I still lived in Jettingen (2020) I was there often. Great swimming lake. Also beautiful to look at in winter when everything is frozen. Nice memory. :)

I saw a flamingo here!

The lake is very secluded, but is still easy to find. Ideal for a short break with a view of the water.
