A very beautiful section of the trail if you walk from Gerolfingen up Hesselberg and leave the car behind. There's probably plenty of parking at the swimming pond.

A great place to relax. There is a Kneipp pool for treading water and a small pool for your arms. Wonderfully fresh spring water comes out of the tap WITHOUT the typical German sign "Not drinking water". There is enough space on the lawn for a picnic without being disturbed. And right at the back in the corner there is a place for open-air church services.

Great well-maintained facility. Church services and, above all, baptisms often take place here.

The avenues on Hesselberg are a special highlight

The classic ascent to the Hesselberg from the south takes place from the parking lot at the bathing pond in Gerolfingen. The route leads along the beautiful chestnut avenue. A beautiful natural monument of the mountain

At first glance, a very impressive little path lined with chestnut trees. In the middle there is a beautiful natural monument where an old tree stump was conquered by a new tree.

The Hesselberg is 689.4 m above sea level. NHN the highest elevation in Middle Franconia. It is 4 km northwest of Wassertrüdingen.
