Probably nowhere else is the holy Wolfsindis known than in the Reisbach area. The altar stands directly above the spring that is said to have sprung up when around 600 AD, when St. Wolfsindis was left lying here after being dragged to death by a horse. Many sick people have received healing here, especially for eye diseases.

The gravel pit of Schlüpfing (extract from the Bavarian Environmental Atlas) The gravel pit is in operation - intensive mining is taking place at the southern end in particular - but the eastern wall and the northern end are also sporadically mined, as the steep, largely uncollapsed walls show. A section of the Northern Vollschotters layer sequence is exposed. Gravel dominates over long stretches. Sand layers and lenses are interspersed between these. Fine sediment horizons (silt, marl) also occur again and again. Lime-bound gravels form conglomerate lenses, while high lime content in the fine sediments leads to floury white sand and lime marl. The Tertiary layer sequence is covered by loess clay and flowing earth. A good insight into parts of the sequence can be seen in the active mining areas at the northern and southern ends of the pit. A wonderful resting place under the giant tree. During the break you can enjoy the wonderful view of the Kollbachtal.

It is located in the spruce forest between Herblfing and Zeitlstadt. This chapel is said to be a legendary place. The Blessed Mother herself chose the location. A spring (Brünnl) is also there.

To the right of the road in the meadow in an open area there is a very beautiful ancient oak tree. Unfortunately, no age information can be found. The circumference is between 4.50 and 5 meters. I could not find any further information about this natural monument on the Internet. The tree is definitely worth seeing!
