There's a short steep section from Mordau to Bischofswiesen. Inexperienced cyclists may need to push. The uphill climb is quite strenuous.

Nice S2 downhill with lots of rough gravel. Not really rideable uphill.

Great S2 downhill with lots of loose rubble. Essentially only rideable at a fairly slow pace. Not really rideable uphill.

This cycle path is highly recommended.

legal MTB route to the Oberjoch

This forest road is called the Bluntautal Forest Road. It was built between 1908 and 1914 on the orders of the Austrian Archduke Franz Ferdinand, with the help of the Austro-Hungarian Army's pioneer battalions, because the Archduke had a hunting ground in the upper Bluntautal valley. It winds its way in steep switchbacks from the valley mouth to the Obere Jochalm (Upper Jochalm). The upper section between the Jochalmen (alpine pastures) is currently (September 2022) affected by several rockfalls and mudslides. From the Obere Jochalm, only a 1.4 km long, rocky path leads up to the Torrener Joch (Torrenner Pass) and the Carl von Stahl House (mountain bikes must be pushed).

Definitely not an S1 route that you drive "just like that". If you don't ride MTB regularly(!), you have to get off and carry your bike here. Would rather rate it as at least S2. Uphill for hobby cyclists also a challenge when carrying. I would not recommend.
