A beautifully designed viewing platform is located directly on the water. From here, you have a phenomenal view of the Weidmoos bird paradise. By the way: you're not allowed to cycle all the way here. So leave your bike at the bike rack and walk a few meters.

The Weidmoos nature reserve is the habitat of hundreds of birds. There is a one and a half kilometer long themed trail through the area - but you should leave your bike behind and walk the route. From the viewing platform you have a magnificent overview of the water-rich protected area. You can find further information here: https://www.weidmoos.at.

Approximately 1 km after the roundabout at Hurtöst in the direction of Waging, an inconspicuous forest path branches off from the road to the left. This path is marked with a "pay attention to the right of way" sign, atypical for a forest path. Then it goes about 1 km into the forest until you see a sign to the right "Bitterstein".
