The lake is relatively small and easy to walk around if the paths are not muddy. It dams up the Schwarte Rot.

The Hägelesklinge is barely three minutes away from the Brunnenklinge. It is also a memorable rock gorge. It ends in a fissure-like, narrow grotto, which may have formed the rearmost (uppermost) end of a previously much larger, deep cave, the front part of the vault of which has collapsed.
